JM Glendinning Insurance Brokers has launched a new division following the appointment of experienced community risk insurance specialist, Gary Newlyn.

As part of the JMG Group, JM Glendinning Community Risk Solutions will help manage the risk and insurance requirements of organisations delivering services to our communities, including registered providers of social housing, care providers and charities.

Gary Newlyn joins JM Glendinning as Managing Director from Zurich Municipal, Zurich’s public sector business, where he led its national social housing sales and account management team. Gary brings 20 years’ experience of working in the insurance industry to the position, over a decade of which was gained working with charities and some of the largest social housing providers in the UK.

Gary has a wealth of insurance experience having supported and guided some of the UK’s largest and smallest non-profit organisations manage their risks. He is both Chartered Institute of Insurance and Institute of Risk Management certified and uses his technical expertise to facilitate risk discussions with business leaders to ensure they gain best value from their insurance programs.
